A Straightforward Approach to Drawing Temperature-Dependent I–V Curves of Solar Cell Models

Equivalent circuit models of solar cells are important for understanding the behavior photovoltaic systems under different weather conditions. They provide an equation F(V,I)=0 that expresses correspondence between voltage V and current I a cell can deliver. The performance cell, and, therefore, parameters F, depend on cell’s temperature incoming light’s energy angle. One would like to simulate visualize these dependencies in real time. Given fixed set parameters, no elementary solution s(V)=I Equation is known. Hence, simulation employ numerical methods solve this approximate circuit’s I–V curve, CIV. In note, we propose simpler approach. Instead expressing as function V, represent both functions V(u) I(u) parameter u. way, curve CIV obtained image mapping m(u)=(V(u),I(u)) from u-interval VI-plane. Our approach offers precise mathematical description easy way draw it.
